Finally finding the courage and the freedom to be fully yourself can be liberating and life-affirming. It can also be intensely uncomfortable. How long have you been waiting? Maybe you’ve been carrying this on your own for a long time. “Becoming ourselves is a collective journey.” (Alok Vaid-Menon) There’s often something that you’re not seeing on your own. Feeling lost and disoriented is an important part of the experience of coming back to yourself. I want you to know that you make sense. You are a part of nature. If the brilliance of adaptation and evolution exists in nature, how could you be wrong?
Paying attention to your thoughts, perceptions, and sensations, I’m here to sit beside you as you begin to feel. I’m willing to sit with you in the dark cave of uncertainty, and wonder, now what? I can’t promise you a quick fix, or that therapy will solve all of your problems. Together we can ask questions that might illuminate a new way to look at things.
We are never truly alone in our experience. I want to normalize conversations around anxiety, loss, and uncertainty. I believe we can find joy, belonging, and connection even in the darkest times. I invite you to reach out if you'd like to explore the freedom that comes from being yourself, moving through the world with more possibilities.
