Paul Stoller, Ph.D., is a professor of Anthropology at West Chester University of Pennsylvania. He is the author of 15 books (monographs, memoirs, a biography and three novels. In 1994 he was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship. In 2013 King Carl XVI Gustav of Sweden awarded him the Anders Retzius Gold Medal in Anthropology in recognition of his scientific contributions to anthropology. In 2015 The American Anthropological Association awarded him its Anthropology in Media of Award in recognition of his public scholarship. His recent book, Yaya's Story: The Quest for Well Being in the World reflects his current research on the cultural dimensions of well being.
