I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist working with individuals, couples, and families. I assist clients with communication, coping skills, problem-solving, as well as ways to build trust and strengthen healthy relationships. I focus on intimate relationships to nurture change and development. During personalized therapy sessions, I work to treat and resolve marital problems, conflict between parents and children, and the impact of substance abuse or mental illness. My goal as a therapist is to form a strong alliance and relationship to assist clients through their current difficulties.
I earned my Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from California Lutheran University. I completed my practicum training with Ventura County Behavioral Services where I assisted clients struggling with multiple diagnoses such as Depression, Anxiety, Schizophrenia, Bipolar disorder, Personality disorders, and Substance Use disorders.
I have specific training and experience with trauma, dual diagnosis, substance use, group therapy, child therapy, and adolescent therapy. I also incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, Motivational Interviewing, Client Centered, Strength-Based, and Positive Psychology.
