Now in-person in Austin on Thursdays, & online Mon-Fri in California, Texas, & Mississippi. -Many life changes, emotions, & challenges come with a diagnosis. Given that it can take years to get one, you've likely been struggling with this for awhile. That's true if it's your diagnosis or the diagnosis of someone you love. I specialize in working with people with chronic illness (cancer, autoimmune illnesses), caregivers (for children, spouses, elderly parents), & older adults, people with cognitive challenges (dementia). I’ve worked with people who are dying, people grieving a loved one's death or other anticipated death.
I help clients develop coping skills and self care to support them through times of stress. They learn about their mental health, build compassion for themselves and others, become more flexible and adaptable. They gain confidence in themselves while decreasing uncomfortable feelings such as anxiety and depression.
The most important factor for successful therapy is developing a supportive relationship between client and therapist. This relationship we’ll form is the foundation upon which positive changes occur. I think you’ll find my approach to be caring, genuine, and focused on your needs and goals.
