I work from a "empathy above all" perspective and am extremely individualized in my approach with regards to client needs. Therapy is not "one size fits all," and neither is recovery; recovery from trauma, substance use disorder, alcohol use disorder, toxic relationships, disordered eating, and more. These are only a few examples of the issues I am qualified to work with.
In clinical terms, I am trained in evidence-based, trauma informed care. In lay terms, that means that I have a deep understanding of “the terror”. Together we will unravel your experience and will facilitate tools that will help you help yourself. Remember: I will never ask you to go to places where I am unwilling to go myself.
First off: I want to validate you for reading this and just by being here. I know how hard it is, especially if you have been thinking about reaching out for a long time. The first step is ALWAYS the hardest, so give yourself credit for that. Just being here, thinking about this decision, takes tremendous courage.
