I am a South Asian woman of colour, who has experience working through a culturally inclusive lens. Through my lived experience and growing up in a multicultural society, it has given me a unique ability to see cultures from a different viewpoint; both the importance of beliefs & values that come from our cultures, whilst also recognizing the internal conflicts they can cause us as individuals. I believe as mental health providers it is important to meet the diverse needs of individuals within the community.
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. I hold a Master of Counselling Psychology degree from Yorkville University. I focus on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approaches to work with trauma and other mental health concerns. Additionally, I am trained in DBT and EMDR.
Starting therapy takes courage and can be a significant moment in one’s life. I provide a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental space for my clients. I offer services in English and Punjabi.
