Life can be challenging; we may experience trauma, relationship issues, grief/loss, or significant life changes. I believe the ways we learn to manage or cope with these challenges are important, as they help us survive difficult moments. However, if you find these coping tools are no longer working for you and would like to learn alternative tools, therapy may be an option. I believe that a strong relationship with your therapist is the most important tool to create a foundation for therapy. I will meet you in our sessions with warmth, humour, and empathy in order to build a safe and trusting connection.
I enjoy providing support for anxiety, depression, boundaries, trauma, issues related to race/ethnicity, shame, and self-compassion. The majority of my experience has been with adults who have been impacted by sexual violence. I practice from a mindful body-based and client-centred perspective.
