I believe we all have the capacity to heal and learn how to live a life worth living, despite challenging and painful experiences in our lives. I believe the coping strategies we develop can start creating problems if we don’t address the underlying cause. Therapy is a safe space to explore, identify, address and resolve these issues, often creating transformational growth. With over 30 years’ experience working with, and treating clients with a variety of mental health, addictions and trauma related issues, I have delivered therapy through individual and group work, and I am passionate about both approaches.

I am a Registered Counselling Therapist (RCT), Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN), trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and a Certified Master Accelerated Resolution Therapist (ART) helping people heal from trauma, including invalidation trauma from others, especially regarding ADHD

DBT Skills Group enables you to access the transformative knowledge and skills of Dialectical Behavior Therapy in a safe and supportive group setting. We’ll focus less on talk therapy, more on the practical how-to of managing your thoughts and emotions when you’re feeling triggered or stressed. “Dialectical” refers to things that seem like opposites but can both be true—like acceptance and change. You learn the skills to find “The Middle Path” between these opposites, accepting the difficulties while changing your thoughts and behavior to build a life worth living—whatever that looks like for you.
