Andrew Beer Ph.D.

About

Andrew Beer, Ph.D., is a Professor of psychology at University of South Carolina Upstate, where he has been the resident personality psychologist since 2007. He received his Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Iowa in that year and his BA in psychology from Southern Methodist University in 2001. In the interest of fair and balanced reporting, he also failed kindergarten in 1984.

Andrew is interested in all things personality, but his areas of specialty lie in assessment. Most of his published work is concerned with personality perception and the process of coming to know what others are like. But he likes other stuff, too. In his life on the outside, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters, basketball, music, and being understood.
