The LGBT+ Counseling Collaborative is a group of licensed psychotherapists who specialize in gay, queer, and gender expansive topics and themes, and have lived experiences in those communities. We work with adolescents over 14, adults, and couples to offer individual counseling, group counseling, and couples counseling, including non-faith based premarital counseling, discernment counseling, sex therapy, and more. Our mission is to provide culturally competent, social justice oriented, queer affirming, and trauma informed therapeutic services to clients who want to actively engage in the healing process.

We provide individual counseling, group counseling, and couples counseling for anyone who identifies as a LGBTQIA+ or is an ally of the community. Services also include sex therapy, non-faith based premarital counseling, trauma informed and competent counseling, gender exploration, religious trauma, complex PTSD, and relationship building.

We are currently accepting new clients in person at our Arlington, VA office or virtually in Virginia, Maryland, Washington, DC, or PSYPACT states. The M.O.R.E. Process Group for Partners is virtually from 12p - 1:15p every other week. Mixed Orientation Relationships (M.O.R.E.) are partnerships where two or more people's sexual and/or gender identity are not the same. This group will focus on partnerships that were at one point traditional cishet relationships and since then, one or more in the partnership has transitioned gender identity or sexual orientation. 12-week Religious Trauma Therapy Group (Virtual)

Returning January 2025 virtually, this group will focus on psychoeducation around religious trauma, breaking down shame/judgment, restructuring relational patterns, exploring identity outside of religious doctrines, purity culture, perfectionism, boundary setting, and increasing autonomy in individual choices toward or away from spirituality and/or religion. This group is open to anyone from any religious background and is intended to help clients reach their own personal goals for religion which may include staying in a religion, growing in a religion, or leaving a religion.
