I believe that empathy and honesty are the foundation of the therapeutic process. I am a trauma-informed therapist with genuine warmth and compassion who loves helping guide clients make changes and learn skills to create more meaningful lives. I integrate mainly Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Accelerated Reprocessing Therapy (ART) which is similar to EMDR in my treatment approach.
I have experience working with PTSD, grief/loss, substance use disorders, divorce, and faith transitions. I have specialized training in Skills Training in Affective and Interpersonal Regulation (STAIR) therapy for PTSD, the Gottman approach to couples counseling and the Smart Stepfamily method for blended families.
