As a fellow human being I have come to understand that the human experience is HARD. My guess is that you can relate. As someone who sought professional help in my adolescent years, I learned that I don't have to endure the hardship by myself. You don't have to navigate your challenges alone either. I understand the anxieties and vulnerabilities that accompany the start of the therapeutic process. It's hard. But so worth it. Personal experiences with therapy helped me to regain a much needed sense of hope and have inspired me to act as a support to others experiencing the heavy realities of depression, anxiety, trauma, and shame.
I believe that our strengths are brought to light as we endure difficult circumstances and learn healthy ways of growing within and beyond them. I wholeheartedly believe in the power of vulnerability. When we allow ourselves to work through the discomfort, we often surprise ourselves as we begin to see that we are capable of much more than we ever imagined.
I work with individuals facing challenges with depression, anxiety, trauma, shame, and interpersonal relationships. I teach and utilize concepts from evidence-based practices including DBT, CPT, and Art Therapy. I am Basic Certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and have training in PCIT-Selective Mutism focus.
