Asking for help is not an easy thing to do. If it were, we would all do it without hesitation. Instead, we set high expectations for ourselves and are resistant to receiving support. We struggle and accept that our current lifestyle is the unchanging norm. I am here to remind you of two indisputable facts; first, life is challenging. Second - and most importantly - is that we do not have to go through it alone. As a licensed social worker (LSW), my goal is to provide judgment-free, supportive spaces for clients where we can process, manage daily stressors, and learn healthy coping skills to incorporate in life for years to come.
I enjoy working with individuals 16+ who experience anxiety and/or depression and welcome young adult clients, working professionals college students, those identifying as BIPOC, & LGBTQ+. My approach to therapy includes techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) as well as mindfulness and narrative therapy.
While starting therapy can be scary, know that Emmanuel Counseling Center is a growing practice of clinicians committed to our clients' well-being and growth.
