Therapy can help you to access greater vitality and creativity within yourself and find more depth in your relationships with others. I am committed to helping my patients make contact with the parts of themselves that are whole and healthy and untouched by whatever difficulties or trauma they may have experienced. I will stay actively engaged while together we make space for you to have the kinds of deeply felt affective experiences that can contribute to psychological well being and lead to a decrease in painful symptoms like anxiety and depression.
I work experientially, meaning that I pay close attention to your thoughts and feelings in the present. We will include your body in the process, noticing how you experience your feelings physically--staying close to your felt sense in order to harness your innate resources for growth, resilience, and change.
I am dedicated to a general practice that is LGBTQ affirmative and informed by experience and current research. I have a background in Psychoanalytic/Psychodynamic therapies and postdoctoral training in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP).
