On the surface, you seem to have it all (or mostly) together, but underneath there’s more to the story and it’s hard to describe in words sometimes. You feel alone. You feel like something’s wrong with you. You don’t feel like you really know yourself. You may also find yourself feeling anxious, disconnected from others and yourself, exhausted, becoming angry or overwhelmed easily, on alert or on edge, and/or struggling in relationships.
You’re a teenager (or a parent of a teenager) and you’re going through something that feels so big you don’t know what to do with it and you don’t want to talk to your parents about it yet. You’re stressed about school, friends, finding out who you are, everything going on in the world, and all of the expectations people have for you.
If this sounds like you, or your child, then you’re in the right place. I work with teens 13+. I also work with adults who have or suspect they have experienced trauma and would like to heal from these experiences. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and identify as queer. I use a blend of IFS, somatic techniques, CBT, mindfulness, DBT, among others as fit.
