I will be accepting new clients for Parent Therapy as openings arise. I'm presently accepting clients for Parent Attachment Coaching. My approach is supportive, nonjudgmental, and includes hands on attachment based strategies to bring children of any age closer to their parents. It builds family cooperation through increasing mutual respect and trust and provides parents with attachment based strategies for setting limits. Both Coaching and Parent Therapy are offered online. Coaching can be offered in the clients home, in-person. Parent therapy is covered by some insurances. Attachment Coaching is on an out of pocket pay basis.
Parent Attachment Coaching is also offered to small groups, classes or workshops and can be customized for teachers to use in their classrooms as well.
My two practices value diversity, multiculturalism and are LGTBQIA+ friendly.

Coaching Parents of Children/Teens w/ ADD and ADHD
This group is not presently being offered. Children with ADHD have their names called out correctively, multiple times a day by teachers, parents, siblings and peers. While well intended, this can result in low self-esteem and a sense of failure leading to defenses of blaming, making excuses and denial. This Attachment Coaching class for Parents and teachers addresses this "stuck place" by providing concrete strategies to create structure and give effective feedback to the child/teen while building self esteem, positive coping techniques, and closeness with the parent. The start date is TBD.
