I enjoy working with a variety of clients. My training in marriage and family therapy has helped me to see the importance of knowing the context and history of a person's life. It is important to know each person's unique history and community. I believe that this self-knowledge help us find answers to our questions and new solutions. It is important to believe that our history does not determine our destiny.
My experience and training both as a nurse and a therapist has influence my practice. I recognize the relationship between physical health and emotional well-being. Each individual is a unique story and I have alway been fascinated by the difference between people and enjoy assisting individuals to discover their own strengths and resources.
Challenging times along with discomfort is often what motivate us to seek counseling. It is at these times we are the most motivated to look deep into ourselves and discover our undiscovered strength. I am constantly in awe of the resiliency that I am privileged to witness in my clients.
