“We don’t have to do all of it alone. We were never meant to.” - Brené Brown. I’m passionate about helping adults (18-40) improve self-esteem, realize their worth, set boundaries, process trauma, manage stress and anxiety, and navigate relationships. Much of my practice focuses on developing healthy relationships, emphasizing the relationship you have with yourself. I also enjoy working with high school aged teenagers around a variety of issues including learning to cope with symptoms of anxiety and depression, exploring gender/orientation or pursuing gender affirming care, increasing self-esteem, and navigating friendships/dating.
I help people balance compassion with accountability while making change. My approach is rooted in humanistic theory, while utilizing CBT and DBT techniques to assist you in gaining new coping skills and challenging negative narratives.
I also have a background in domestic violence work. I believe it is important to understand what is considered healthy and unhealthy, to recognize abusive behavior, how to identify “red flags”, and learn to establish healthy boundaries. Knowledge is power when it comes to breaking the cycle of abuse.
