My name is Lisa Higginson, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and owner of Mindful Core Counseling, PLLC. I incorporate a mixture of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Mindfulness into all of my therapy sessions.
I have a Masters degree in Professional and Christian Counseling from GCU. I have a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Family and Human Development. I have worked in several roles serving Arizona's families and children since 2008. My desire is to help individuals be the best version of themselves.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Adult Group
There are a total of four DBT modules which include: Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance, and Interpersonal Effectiveness. I also teach a Cognitive Restructuring Module on Core Beliefs. Each module is 50 minutes long, and lasts for 6 weeks. I offer groups for adolescents as well as adults.
