We all have stories of loss, conflict, and anxiety. And we all need someone to help us. I believe we are created for connection, and that deep drive for connection is both key to helping us move through the world with security and confidence, as well as the origin of much of how we experience anxiety, depression, anger, and much more. I have my own story that resonates deeply with this. When I was 20, during a quiet walk in the woods, I began to weep. To my chagrin a deep well of emotion I had not realized was there was bubbling up and I could not stop it, nor did I know why it was there.
I continued to weep, tears streaming down my face, as I went into work that evening. When I connected with a close friend I was able to process that I had bottled up grief over losing my father at 11, and the ensuing loneliness and anger, for years. It was my friend that helped me give words to what I was going through and begin to find healing.
I have had the privilege to walk with couples, families, and individuals to find peace and re-establish connection with loved ones, much like my friend did for me years ago. I offer an integrated faith and spirituality approach emerging from my pastoral experience that works hand-in-hand with neurobiology and evidence-based treatment.
