TransFamily Support Group
A free, biweekly support group for parents & families of transgender and nonbinary people sponsored by the Frederick Center and professionally facilitated by Kate MacShane, LCSW-C. We provide a safe, nonjudgmental space to give and receive support, share resources, and connect with other families navigating the joys and challenges of loving trans and gender-diverse young people. Newcomers are welcome. No advance registration required. We're here for you no matter where you are in your journey. We meet on the FIRST and THIRD Saturdays of each month. TransTeens Support Group
The Frederick Center's TransTeens group is a FREE, twice-monthly support group for youth ages 14-18 who are questioning their gender and/or identify as transgender, non-binary, and/or gender non-conforming. Facilitated by Miles George, LGPC, a transgender licensed mental health clinician from the Maryland Center for Gender and Intimacy, TransTeens is a safe, nonjudgmental space for gender-diverse youth to find community, navigate challenges, share resources, and celebrate their identities. TransPartners Support Group
TransPartners is The Frederick Center's FREE, biweekly support group for partners of transgender and nonbinary people. TransPartners is a supportive, nonjudgmental space in which to navigate the joys and challenges of relationships with gender-diverse partners. Adults (18+) of all genders are welcome. Facilitated by Emma Batting, LMSW, of the Maryland Center for Gender and Intimacy. The group currently meets via Zoom on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month from 7-8:30 pm.
