I’m Kari Kahl, a Licensed Professional Counselor at Thomas Integrative Psychotherapy and with PSIMED, Inc. in Morgantown, WV. I am focused on collaborating with clients, ensuring they see real progress and feel safe and heard throughout the therapeutic process. I am sensitive to the influence of past experiences on present challenges. I work with my clients to revise the narrative of their lives, heal old wounds, and move forward with a newfound feeling of freedom and relief. I guide clients through understanding how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected and help them make a targeted change.

I assist my clients in improving self-awareness and understanding their physical responses to external stressors. My counseling style is integrative, drawing from Person-Centered, Humanistic, Adlerian, Existential, and third-wave CBT approaches emphasizing mindfulness and acceptance practices.

Along with my Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), I have earned credentials for Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), Advanced Alcohol & Drug Counselor (AADC), and Certified Trauma-Informed CBT Therapist (TF-CBT). I am also a qualified Star Provider for the military and see many active duty, reserve, and veteran clients.
