Karen is a trauma and addiction therapist in private practice specializing in the areas of sex addiction (CSAT Certified), betrayal trauma, love addiction, enmeshment, co-dependency, and trauma. Karen works with clients to enhance self-awareness and skill building to help clients' move through life's challenges. In her addiction work, Karen treats not only the behavioral elements but works with client's to identify and resolve underlying trauma. Trauma resolution is a key component to achieving long-term sobriety. Karen works with individuals, couples, groups, and leads intensive workshops.
Karen trained with Patrick Carnes at the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals. Additionally, she’s an EMDRIA approved EMDR and an Attachment Focused EMDR therapist. Karen is also trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy where the body is a central component of talk therapy. She also trained with Pia Mellody and her PIT model.
Karen is a member of the Healing Trauma Network (healingtraumanetwork.net), a site for clinicians with advanced Pia Mellody training who are dedicated to implementing and promoting her frame-work, an effective approach to recovery from childhood trauma, codependency and addiction.

This 12-week, virtual, psycho-ed group provides a safe place to help betrayed partners work through the grief and devastation that accompanies discovery of sexual betrayal. As partners join together to talk about shared experiences, it helps to reduce the shame and pain that comes along with betrayal. The group also focuses on skill building and helpful tools to empower partners to regain control, learn to trust their own intuition and find inner safety. Topics covered include Understanding Complex Trauma, the Different types of Gas Lighting, Utilizing Anger in Productive Ways, Cultivating an authentic self, as examples.

We are delighted to offer this 6 month work group specifically designed for women who struggle with self-esteem issues. If you experience difficulty with holding boundaries, being authentic, people pleasing, not knowing your own needs and wants, perfectionism, guilt-driven behaviors, as examples, then this workshop is for you. The workshop incorporates psycho-ed material, self-reflective exercises, emotional regulation techniques and experiential exercises to help you lean into knowing your worth. The group is $65.00 per group session and meets weekly at the same time for 90 minutes. Feel free to email regarding our next scheduled Group.
