As a licensed professional counselor and school psychologist working with children ages seven and up, adolescents, and those transitioning into young adulthood, I am passionate about creating a safe space in counseling for people to be the truest versions of themselves. I view the counseling relationship as being inherently collaborative, empowering, and supportive, fueled by trust and hope. I utilize a cognitive-behavioral, trauma-informed, and person-centered approach, as well as play therapy, motivational interviewing, and dialectical behavioral techniques in my counseling work.
I have a background in assisting clients with managing a variety of symptoms including those related to traumatic events and experiences, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, autism spectrum disorder, depression, anxiety, adjustments, post-traumatic stress disorder, and grief.
During my clinical mental health counseling internship, I specialized in counseling clients and families who had experienced trauma(s) and traumatic events. My experience in the school setting includes completing psychoeducational evaluations, co-leading suicide prevention and assessment teams, and facilitating individual and group counseling.
