Welcome! My name is Julia, and I am a licensed mental health counselor in Massachusetts. I work with individuals who are experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, adjustment to difficult life circumstances, issues affecting the LGBTQ+ community, and anyone else who is taking the brave steps toward improving their mental health and quality of life. I work mostly with adolescents and adults in their 20s and enjoy helping my clients navigate early adulthood and the specific issues that tend to feel overwhelming at this time in our lives.
My approach to counseling is to combine talk therapy (offering space for you to process difficult parts of your history or present circumstances) and skill building/implementation of self-care habits. I believe in goal-oriented therapy; we will periodically check in about your progress in therapy, and any adjustments to your goals you'd like to make.
