They want to be heard, validated, and given a sense of direction. One reason is that some may feel hopeless about their circumstances and their future. Others may feel helpless about their ability to change their lives due to past traumatic experiences.
Trauma-focused , depression, anxiety and low self-esteem. My approach is the Person-Centered, which focuses primarily on allowing the individual to lead because it is the individual that is the expert in his or her life, and not the counselor. I’m to assist and support the client in restoring their lives to the best of my professional ability.
I believe that, the most important part of therapy is having a counselor who is open, trustworthy, supportive, and understands the impact of mental health issues. As well as being able to provide therapeutic counseling to clients utilizing both spiritual and professional skills that will beneficial for them in the future.
