I love working with a wide variety of issues, but nobody is a perfect fit for everyone. People that tend to find success with me as a therapist are working on trauma, depression or anxiety, and issues with identity. I work primarily with adults, but I am willing to work with adolescents if it is a good fit! I absolutely love working with anyone from an alternative community. If you don't fit in with society you will for sure fit in with me! The most important thing to know about me as a therapist is that I want you to leave my office one day and say "I don't need therapy".
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Accelerated Resolution, and Internal family systems therapy, but I also use techniques and concepts from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Boring stuff I know, but the gist is that the primary approaches I use teach you how to heal or change on your own!
I believe that everyone has a right to pursue what makes them happy, and has the right to an environment in which they can engage in that pursuit. I am accepting of any and all identities! Everyone should have the power and ability to define themselves how they choose.
