Life is difficult, and none of us are immune from painful events or circumstances. Day-to-day life is far more painful when we are burdened with unresolved trauma, OCD, anxiety, or grief. When facing one or more of these struggles, it can feel like we are at war with our minds and emotions. We start to see ourselves as the problems and our world gets smaller and lonelier over time. This is a scary place that breeds hopelessness, powerlessness, and shame.
Working through these complex symptoms and feelings alone is challenging, and I want to help. Whether it is the loss of a loved one, a traumatic event, or unrelenting intrusive thoughts, my role as your therapist is to help build safety and work through these feelings, making life more enjoyable and value-driven.
Using the therapeutic tool of brainspotting and Internal Family Systems (IFS), we can identify and work through the deep layers of pain to alleviate suffering. Starting therapy is a daunting task.
