Hello! I'm Jess, the founder of Waymaker Services, PLLC. For the past 2.5 years, this practice has been a trusted haven for individuals navigating the unique challenges and strengths of neurodiversity, particularly those with autism and ADHD. With 15 years of experience in the mental health field, I've dedicated my career to supporting those with major mental health diagnoses, especially as they navigate adolescence and transition into adulthood. My wide scope of experience has helped me to meet clients where they are and support them with making change, meeting goals, and having a safe place to explore and express emotions.
The approach is designed to foster a welcoming and adaptable atmosphere where all individuals can thrive. I focus on harnessing strengths that each individual has and applying evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address mental health challenges. I have a special interest in neurodiversity, but am educated and experienced to address all areas of MH.

PEERS
I am certified through UCLA to provide PEERS curriculum in a group setting. The curriculum focuses on social and relational skill building for adolescents and adults with ADHD, IDD, and Autism. Goals of group: Assist in making and deepening friendships, concrete rules for social etiquette and engagement, improve self esteem and connectedness, reciprocity in friendships, decrease isolation and rejection, didactic lessons to address conversational skills, use of humor, electronic communication, how to enter and exit conversations, handling arguments, handle rumors and gossip, as well as handling rejection and bullying.
