My name is Jennifer Smith, LCSW, and I have over 18 years of experience working with children, adults, and families. I am very passionate about working with clients on their specific goals. I would describe my clinical style as direct, but nurturing and compassionate; and sometimes with some humor mixed in. I truly believe we can all benefit from outside guidance, while searching for resolutions to our personal struggles. I work with clients from the perspective of understanding the "why" in relation to behaviors and outcomes.
I have a great deal of experience working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and trauma. I also work with couples and families, with extensive focus on communication, reestablishing expectations, rebuilding trust, and realigning the hierarchy in families.
I have also worked a great deal with prenatal and new parents, perinatal mood and anxiety disorder, as well as fetal loss and miscarriage. "Strength grows in the moments you think you can't go on but you go on anyway"
