| español A previous client referred to therapy as their ‘comfy couch’; a place where they felt safe, heard, and could learn strategies to address life challenges. I strive to provide a sense of comfort for the person to reach the level of vulnerability in which a person can achieve growth. My mission is to provide a safe space for all, including all genders, orientations, identifies, abilities, cultures and backgrounds. I am fortunate to be able to speak Spanish and English, providing me the opportunity to serve Spanish speaking clients.
In addition to individual therapy with children (5 +) and adults, I enjoy working with families and couples. My modality includes providing evidence-based interventions (i.e. CBT, AT, SFT, etc.) while integrating alternative forms of communication, such as art and play. I have a wide range of experience addressing chronic conditions to adjustment challenges.
Everyone's therapeutic journey is unique, my approach inclines to begin with identifying and learning appropriate coping strategies to address present issues and reduce current impact on functioning to allow for further exploration into other potential deeper concerns and/or causes, such as trauma, further down the journey.
