As an LPC-S with over 25 years of experience, I enjoy working with clients that are looking to replace self-defeating thoughts or feelings with healthier beliefs and coping mechanisms. My goal in our work together is to help you develop unconditional self-acceptance into the person you want to be.
Outside of working with general mental health issues, I specialize in grief, chronic illness, & women's issues. I also specialize in working with LGBTQ+ individuals and am a proud member of PFLAG. I take an eclectic approach by combining CBT, REBT, Transactional Analysis, and other cognitive and Person-Centered modalities to help meet my clients' needs.
I see my therapeutic role as that of a teacher helping you to learn the skills that will follow throughout the rest of your life. As a sci-fi nerd, I will help you learn to use the force to maneuver through the challenges that life throws at us as well as to live long and prosper. I look forward to hearing from you and working together.
