CBT and Mindfulness Group for Youth
We will learn to recognize symptoms of depression and anxiety. This group will help us learn to be more aware of our emotions, how to manage stress and anxiety, and how to help us take small steps to get us back on track when depression interferes. We will learn coping skills to help manage difficult feelings and we will build our own coping skill toolbox. Some skills will work better for us at different times and for different situations. Practicing these skills inside and outside of the group will be important. Group sessions range from 7-10 sessions.

Trauma Group for Youth
Trauma can be a one-time scary event like a sudden death or natural disaster, or ongoing events like abuse, bullying, racism, family or community violence, homelessness, and many other experiences that make us feel unsafe. Almost two-thirds of youth experience at least one trauma before the age of 18. More than 20% of youth experience more than three types of traumatic experiences. This will group will be brief (2 sessions) with the option to add individual therapy.
