I offer services via telehealth, and have found success with my clients in utilizing EMDR and an IFS approach to work through traumas. I also work with “late-in-life” diagnoses of Autism. As an individual who masked her autistic traits until age 30, I have a passion for helping people understand themselves and how their brain works, and accepting the whole self. Kinstsugi is a Japanese art form of repairing broken pottery. When an item has been broken or shattered it is mended with a type of glue infused with powdered gold.
The breakage is not something to be hidden or disguised, rather the repair gives the item a new, oftentimes more beautiful, look. Our struggles, hardships, and painful experiences can leave us feeling broken beyond repair, but with healing we can grow and transform in beautiful ways. Your broken pieces don’t need to hold you back.
I believe every person has great worth, and I work with individuals to help them discover this within themselves. I use a person-centered approach and strive to understand the world through the lens of those I work with. I view the therapeutic relationship as a partnership and I am excited to learn with my clients.
