DBT teaches skills for managing intense emotions and negotiating social relationships and focuses on providing therapeutic skills in four key areas: Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness. Goals of the group are to teach skills that enable you to regain control of your emotions, actions, and reactions, and live a life of contentment.
