You navigate this world each day doing the best you can, but life's biggest sources of pain, confusion, or stress can leave you lost and overwhelmed. You have to just "figure it out". Therapy provides a space to step back and examine yourself: intentionally, and with a plan and goal in mind. I believe that therapy should ultimately allow you to "become" your own therapist, bringing what you learn from our work back into your own world. I will challenge your long-held beliefs and habits in therapy and encourage your honest self-reflection, but always with elements of humor and compassion.
I use evidence-based therapy approaches, and I emphasize putting words and thoughts into practice. I value your already-existing strengths and will encourage you to lean on and develop them. I want to create an authentic working relationship together in which you are able to examine your deeply personal experiences with a feeling of trust and safety.
Clients have described me as thoughtful, sensitive, patient, honest, pragmatic, and direct. If you think we might be a good fit to work together, please contact me for a free 15-minute phone consultation. I look forward to hearing from you, and would be glad to join you for part of life's journey. Also, to learn more about me, please visit my website link.
