Psychoanalysis goes deep into your questions in an attempt to free you from recurrent uncomfortable and painful symptoms caused by traumas, unconscious phantasies and obsolete infantile defense mechanisms. I am also a teacher, a supervisor and a former training program director at NEIPSY, a renowned psychoanalysis institute in New England.
We all suffer and feel pain. Usually we try to be brave and pretend everything is okay. But more often than we'd like, we struggle to keep uncomfortable thoughts and feelings away. Besides, we keep repeating the same mistakes, at work and at home. This may be the result of infantile experiences and feelings of abandonment and helplessness.
