People often ask me the trick to being happy in this life... Time and time again, the old adage about "knowing the difference between the things you can and cannot change" remains as true as any I've found. Most of the people that walk into my office haven't yet identified which situation they're facing. Their anxiety, depression, relational conflict, and other struggles are fueled by their struggle come up with either a plan of action or a plan of acceptance. That's where, through a process of listening and exploring, I can help you clarify your options for finding peace.
In addition to my broad training as a counselor, I have sought additional training for working with trauma and PTSD. Failing to deal with these, or dealing with them recklessly can make an already uphill battle seem even more steep. Through TF-CBT and other approaches, I can help you stop re-reading the old chapters in your life and begin writing new ones.
As part of Chenal Family Therapy PLC, I consult with our team of therapists and psychiatrists who specialize in different issues, ensuring that all possible treatment approaches are considered. If we encounter problems outside my areas of expertise, I can provide seamless referrals, including testing and medication management, to get you the help you need.
