It is an honor to continue to practice as an educator and psychotherapist, working individually with children, adolescents and adults, as well as with families and couples. I appreciate the courage it takes for people to enter therapy. My approach is supportive, collaborative, and based on trust. When useful, I include the gentle assistance of my therapy dogs.
Utilizing techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT, Play, Art and Sand Tray Therapy I continue to be inspired by the resilience of clients as they grow and heal. I am trained in EMDR, (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), a behavioral approach that is amazing and an effective treatment for residual effects of trauma
Reaching out for help is never easy for anyone. Often with the assistance of my therapy dogs, I strive to create a safe environment that is welcoming, respectful and encouraging.
