People often come to me when at least a part of them wants something different. In this way, beginning therapy is fundamentally an act of courage and hope. If you are wanting something more from your life - more secure relationships, a more consistent sense of yourself, a greater sense of freedom and capacity for creativity, I can help. It is often the case that when we are overwhelmed by fear, shame and other difficult emotions, we can feel "beside ourselves" - out of touch with who we are and want to/can be. A good therapeutic relationship can bring you back in connection, - back to a space of possibilities.

In my 15+ years as a therapist, I've developed a way of working that is collaborative, empathic and supportive. I practice with a sense of curiosity for the roots of a "problem", while also exploring and attending to what's happening in the here and now. People work with me when they are seeking lasting change.

As a psychoanalyst having gone through my own personal intensive therapy, I don't invite anyone to take a leap that I haven't taken myself.
