As a bilingual (English and Spanish), First-Generation, Latino/Mexican, Male, I have been able to learn through hardships on my own and motivate others to work hard to achieve their goals. I motivate and help individuals pursue and work to achieve personal goals that will positively impact one's self. It is important to be culturally competent in my own work and learn what goes on around our communities. Sometimes it is difficult to unwind and destress without not navigating how to do so.
I worked in Mental Health for over 3 years. I have extensive experience working with the Latinx community, minorities, Juveniles, and domestic violence offenders and victims. I enjoy working with young adults, first-generation, college students, people of color, and the LGBTQIA+ community. I enjoy inclusivity and incorporating it into my therapeutic style.
I like helping clients navigate and understand their emotions. I have an outgoing, kind, and understanding personality, and I like to use that to connect with clients. I use a person-centered and solution-focused approach to help clients find their own strengths, create solid goals, build concrete relationships, and work to create a positive individual.
