I can help support you in understanding your child and their individualized needs. I specialize in teaching parents therapeutic interventions to use with their children at home to reduce meltdowns, decrease anxiety, and increase coping skills (for yourself and your child). And if working with you isn't enough to help your child, I am a registered play therapist able to communicate with children through play (no talking necessary).
I approach treatment using neurobiology, child development and understanding the nervous system. I am trained in a variety of different therapies to treat children with anxiety, trauma, OCD, and oppositional behaviors. These include synergetic play therapy, EMDR, sand play therapy, and safe & sound protocol all of which are informed by new brain science.
While parents often blame themselves for being part of the problem (which may not be true), parents are always part of the solution and treatment for their children's mental health.
