As a breast cancer survivor, I know all too well that although the difficult treatment ends, that is often not the end of the journey. Cancer changes so much about a person's life. Often one will have a "new normal" that they didn't want or ask for. I will walk with you as you navigate through these distressing emotions and experiences to find hope. I offer EMDR therapy to help those who have experienced trauma and distress from cancer. Additionally, I have over 20 years experience working with adolescents and young adults. It's difficult to be a young adult these days. I can support you in moving toward the life you desire.
I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) which is a specialized treatment for all types of trauma. EMDR can help reprocess distressing memories or thoughts, and help with anxiety and distress. Additionally, I'm trained in the ASSYST protocol (Acute Stress Syndrome Stabilization) which is for recent trauma, such as cancer.
No matter where you are in life, reaching out for help can be intimidating. But, it is also the most courageous decision you can make. I work with people ages 16 through the lifespan, and would be honored to partner with you as you move toward the change you desire.
