My name's Aaron; I use he/him pronouns. I identify as a married, Queer, Mexican-American, child of an immigrant, of mixed ethnicity, and Neurotypical and able-bodied. I will honor your lived experience and help you, with kind and curious attentiveness, to notice and say out loud the things in your life that are stuck, difficult, or causing you pain.
I use neurobiological and attachment-based relational theories in my practice and train in modern psychoanalytic interventions to help people notice and then integrate their thoughts, feelings/emotions, and body sensations. I help people gain understanding of their actions and reactions and accept that defenses are protective rather than something to 'fix'.

Group is a life-changing modality that can help you learn to trust emotional expressions and experiences. My group is an ‘emotional laboratory’ to practice expressing all of your thoughts and feelings in the here and now and also learn to tolerate, and eventually find joy in, hearing other people’s thoughts and feelings towards you. Group will help you improve your relationship with yourself and others, find vitality in experiencing and expressing all your emotions in the moment, and receive helpful nurturing and support from others whom you have allowed to know you.
