I am a certified Dialectic Behavioral Therapist and am very experienced in working with populations that struggle with social connections due to interpersonal conflicts deriving from emotional dysregulation. I teach DBT emotional regulation skill sets in both individual and group settings.
My focus is working with people who struggle to have a satisfying life due to an inability to find emotional balance in their lives. When one has no emotional balance, it makes it difficult to find any satisfaction in one's life experience, which often leads to maladaptive behaviors such as substance abuse, hypersexuality, and unhealthy relationships.

This is done through discussion and the learning of skills to be applied in everyday living to enhance one’s life experience, to manage painful emotions, manage harmful urges including substance use, engage in healthy relationships, regulate emotions, increase positive emotions, step out of negative behaviors that maintain negative emotions, set limits with others, learn to say no to what you don’t want, and ask for what you need.
