Mindfulness Meditation Group
The Mindfulness/Meditation Group is an 8-week psychoeducational class designed to introduce participants to the theory and practice of Mindfulness. This interactive course will teach the concepts behind Mindfulness, offering various meditation techniques to become more present and actively aware with your emotions, thoughts and experiences. Scientific studies have shown that participating in an 8-week Mindfulness/Meditation group can reduce anxiety and depression, lower blood pressure and improve overall well-being. Mindfulness is not a religious-based practice, but rather a secular, inclusive form of self care. The course is open to adults of all ages, with no previous meditation experience necessary.
