Victoria Prowse Ph.D.

Victoria Prowse, Ph.D., is the Marge Magner Chair and a Professor of Economics at Purdue University. Dr. Prowse is a leading expert in the field of empirical microeconomics, specializing in the study of cognitive skills and preferences and their impact on key life outcomes such as educational attainment, retirement, and inequality. With a Ph.D. in Economics from Oxford University, she teaches econometrics and empirical labor and public economics. As a faculty affiliate of multiple research institutes and a research fellow of IZA and DIW, Dr. Prowse works closely with students at all levels and has published numerous studies on topics including motivation, gender dynamics, cheating in the workplace, disappointment aversion, and more.
