Ugochukwu Uche MS.,LPC
Ugo Uche is a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in adolescents and young adults in his practice. Having been born to Nigerian parents in Columbus, Ohio and subsequently raised in Nigeria during his childhood and adolescent years, Ugo brings a cross cultural perspective to his work and writings.
Ugo holds a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Warren Wilson College and a Master's of Science in Counseling Psychology from Tarleton State University and he is currently a Licensed Professional Counselor with the state of Arizona. His experience in the field of counseling has been through his work with juveniles with the Texas Youth Commission, and currently with In Balance Ranch Academy, a therapeutic boarding school providing therapeutic services to adolescent males with chemical dependency and other clinical issues. Ugo also owns a private outpatient practice in Tucson, AZ.
Prior to becoming a mental health clinician Ugo served with the United States Army, and was honorably discharged. He received his second honorable discharge after being activated for a tour of duty in Bagram Afghanistan.
Ugo has also trained adolescents in Arizona for three half marathons, the first with the Disney Half in Florida and two more with the Tucson Half Marathon. He has recently resumed training a group of adolescents for his fourth half; for the December 14th Tucson Half Marathon.
