The Center for Research in Experimental Economics and Political Decision Making

About

The Center for Research in Experimental Economics and Political Decision Making (CREED) at the University of Amsterdam combines research approaches from behavioral economics, psychology, and neuroeconomics to investigate common biases in decision making. At CREED, behavioral economists are joined by experts from different fields to study how people make economic and strategic decisions across a variety of contexts. Our aim is to understand how limits to our cognitive abilities, as well as motivation, affect, and strategic considerations influence our decisions. We are also interested in how decision-making plays out in the brain. By understanding the cognitive, motivational, affective, and neural processes that drive our decisions, we also aim to develop interventions that can help people make better decisions and inform government policies.
