Karin Arndt, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist practicing in Washington, DC. A graduate of the existential-phenomenological psychology program at Duquesne University, she wrote a dissertation on the existential dimensions of solitude as a contemplative practice for women. She has also served as a Visiting Scholar at the Mind and Life Institute. Arndt is an avid practitioner of solitary retreat and is writing a book on women’s psychospiritual development.
